It takes your #SceneGirls at least 2-3 days recover from a vacation. Who else is with us on that one? There’s unpacking, laundry to do, groceries to buy, and other things that prolong the inevitable real world from coming back into our lives.
With all of the planning that goes into going on a vacation, there’s just as much planning that goes into coming home from one too. Lindsey got back from the Bahamas with a beautiful tan, but extremely dry skin, brittle hair, and a severely chipped manicure. Here are some of our #SceneGirl approved ‘post vaca’ beauty regimens that makes jumping back into reality a little easier.
Not only is your skin dry after a weekend in the sun, but chances are, you had one too many cocktails one night and forgot to take your makeup off one night. It’s okay...it happens, don’t freak out! Your skin needs some extra TLC and hydration when you get home. We love Skin Fitness’s Pure Oxygen Serum because we can literally feel our face drink up the hydration as it it quickly brings our skin back to normal.
Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate. Use this 3-4 times a week with your favorite exfoliating gloves right after a long vaca in the sun. Fresh sugar cane crystals manually exfoliate while naturally occurring alpha hydroxyls gently buffs away aging skin cells, polishing your skin clean and unclogging pores. The deep moisturizing blend of oils nourish, moisturize and protect your beautiful skin leaving it glowingly healthy. Leave on for 10 minutes in the shower for maximum benefit, then rinse. The smell of coconut will bring your senses back to vacation, while shedding all of your dead skin. We LOVE this stuff.
We were recently introduced to Marula Oil and will never look back. Both Lindsey & Lilly are constantly looking for different products and treatments that will grow and strengthen their hair. If you know anything about hair, you know that if you want healthy hair you have to start by taking care of your ends. While your hair is damp from a shower, apply Marula Oil to your ends and throw your hair in a bun and go to sleep. It will smooth and repair the hair’s surface for a shiny, flawless finish.*Keep in mind, this you are applying oil, so don’t be surprised when you wake up with oily hair the next day. Simply wash your hair the next morning and you’ll feel as good as new! We recommend doing this treatment at least 3-4 times a week after a vacation.
We all work so hard to keep our hair, skin, and nails healthy throughout our daily schedules. You don’t have to backtrack all of your hard work just because you go on vacation!
