An LLScene appearance at the International Polo Club’s #SocietySunday is becoming somewhat of a tradition for us. Complete with wall-to-wall buffets, high fashion, endless champagne, specialty bars, and celebrity sightings, what’s not to love?
For the third year in a row, we celebrated Lilly’s birthday at the Polo Club, which continues to serve as the perfect birthday destination for her. Polo Sundays are the quintessential ‘See & Be Scene’ event of the spring. Big thanks to Enid of the Venue Marketing Group for surprising Lilly with this beautiful birthday cake!
One of the best parts about #SocietySundays are bringing “Polo Club virgins” to experience it for the first time. This year, we brought our close friends Gaby Pigna and Joe Hellow. They’re getting married in three weeks, so it was good timing, they need a break from the stress of wedding planning. With front row seats to the match, we were able to learn about the game of polo, while sipping on bottles of champagne and taking it all in.
Lila Photo was back and recognized us from years past. She’s seriously the best photographer to capture the #SceneWorthy photos we crave.
The ambiance and service was nothing less than phenomenal, as each guest was treated like an A-lister. Halfway through the match, everyone was invited on to the greens to stomp divots, better known as having a ‘Pretty Woman' moment, complete with complimentary champagne and ice cream. The brunch buffet was simply spectacular, the #SceneBoys were in heaven as they frequently went up for “seconds”.
As always, the “after party” surprised the newbies. Down came the blackout curtains, and in came a Palm Beach dance party for the stars. It was our kind of after party; fully equipped with a DJ, flashing lights, and cold cocktails. We walked down the red carpet to the VIP Lounge, where bottle service and gorgeous people were plentiful. Sunday polo is the epitome of the high society dream you thought it would be, but less stuffy!
Year after year, we keep telling you all to plan a day at the Polo Club, and hope you’re able to get there this year. Switch up your Sunday and live a little, you won’t regret it!
