Woman Volunteer of the Year Luncheon
It’s that time of year again, time for the Junior League of Boca Raton’s Woman Volunteer of the Year Luncheon at the Boca Raton Resort! The luncheon will be held Thursday, October 5th starting at 10:30am with a reception and runway raffle followed by the luncheon beginning at 11:30am.
We like to consider the Woman Volunteer of the Year Luncheon the official “kick-off to season”, complete with the “who’s who” of South Florida, not to mention the amazing fall styles we witness on the runway.
The Junior League has announced that Saks Fifth Avenue Boca Raton will be returning as the Fashion Show Sponsor presenting a Fall Trends fashion show headlined by Cinq à Sept, which will take place during the luncheon.
In addition to Saks Fifth Avenue Boca Raton, Christine E. Lynn Women’s Health & Wellness Institute will be the Award Sponsor this year. In addition to these sponsors, Boca Raton Magazine will be the official media sponsor for the event as well. So, what is the Woman Volunteer of the Year Luncheon all about? Precisely what you think it’s about; celebrating the achievements of outstanding local women in the community who give back in bigger ways than any of us could ever imagine. During the WVOY Luncheon, the 42 nominees will be recognized for their nonprofit organizations and dedication and expertise as volunteers. At the end of the luncheon, one of these women will be awarded 2017’s Woman Volunteer of the Year. The Honorary Chair is Barbara Schmidt with Kirsten Stanley serving as Chair.
