It's not officially Christmas at LLScene until Rockefeller Center lights up their tree with a star studded television event. There is something special about Christmastime in New York City. Even though we can't spend the holidays immersed in all the big apple's glory, we can surely pretend to be there for a night. Nothing better encapsulates Christmas in New York than the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, an icon of the season not just in New York, but nationwide. The 2014 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree will be lit for the first time tonight with live performances from 7–9 PM.
Hosting this year’s celebration are our beloved, Today Show anchors, Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker and Natalie Morales. Celebrtieis rumored to appear? Cyndi Lauper, Seth MacFarlane featuring Sara Bareilles, Idina Menzel, Pentatonix, LeAnn Rimes and Trisha Yearwood amongst others. We also can't forget our favorites, the Radio City Rockettes, who will perform right before the tree lights up!
Grab some hot chocolate, a throw blanket, and pretend there is a chill in our South Florida air as you get in the holiday spirit tonight!
