LLScene will be a part of media for Delray’s Fabulous Fashion Week from January 17-25, 2015! The city of Delray Beach is known for it’s up and coming luxury brands and lifestyle, which is why local and international styles will take center stage at their 2nd annual fashion week.
While we LOVE us some New York Fashion Week, it’s hard to realistically think we will ever be able to afford a $30,000 Marchesa gown, although your girls can dream! Delray Beach is in our backyard, and we already shop at the great boutiques offered on the Ave, so it’s a no brainer for us to fully endorse their Fabulous Fashion Week.
Delray’s finest boutiques will be offering runway events, designer trunk shows, styling tips, beauty events, and of course lots of shopping opportunities up and down the Ave. Over 60 models will grace the catwalk showcasing the latest and greatest styles of spring while over 70 businesses and charities become involved in all of the events taking place throughout the week. There will be fashion for everyone with a variety spanning from retro, boho chic, world inspired, edgy, resort, casual, and glamorous. All of which will lead up to the dazzling grand finale at the historic Colony Hotel on January 24.
The festivities will kick off Saturday, January 17 at 7pm with over 30 beautiful men and women strutting their stuff down the sidewalks in the center of Downtown Delray in beautiful looks of Delray SWIM. Just in time to get us ready for bathing suit season! Over 35 events will take place throughout the week, both runway and in-store, so everyone has the opportunity to find the perfect spring outfit.
Each event is free to the public, but there are great opportunities to donate to local charities by purchasing tickets to the runway shows. This year’s Fashion Week charities include, the Achievement Centers for Children & Families on Tuesday, January 20th and Saturday, January 24th, where runway seating will be $15 per seat. They’re also the charity of choice for the 3rd Annual Stiletto Race on January 23rd. The Delray Center of the Arts will host the Recycled Runway event on Sunday, January 18th and the proceeds will benefit their organization at $25 per person.
