LLScene's Top 5 Styles for Fall 2020

It’s safe to say that our Fall Fashion article is going to be a little different this year given that it’s 2020 and all. But, as Florida starts to open there’s a gleam of hope we see amongst fashionistas that can’t wait to get out of their loungewear and start dressing up again, and we amongst those fashionistas. Our biggest piece of advice this fall is to diversify your wardrobe. If quarantine has taught us anything, it’s that you need statement pieces that you can style multiple ways, so you can wear the same outfit multiple times without people noticing.

Being that there has been more than enough time to develop trends for 2020, we’re bringing you our top 5 favorite styles you should be wearing this season, and you will definitely see us wearing as we make our debut back #OnTheScene.

Tennis Skirts

Who said you had to play tennis to pull off a tennis skirt? Yes, you read that correctly. Tennis skirts will be seen EVERYWHERE this fall and we encourage you to take this fashion risk and embrace it. The tennis skirt has really taken over in the “street style” world because of how versatile it is. You can pair this look with anything from an oversized sweater, bodysuit, to a crop top!

Doc Martens

Yes, ladies and gents, Doc Martens are BACK and they were one of the biggest brands of shoes to hit the runway during Fashion Week this year. You will see models like Gigi and Bella Hadid rocking these on and off the runway. It’s a celebrity favorite and we are here for it. Not only are Doc Martens comfortable, but they also come in different styles, sizes, and can be paired with pretty much anything you have in your wardrobe.

Straight Legged Denim

We can’t have a fall style article without featuring some kind of denim and the denim you’re going to want to look for this season is the “Straight Jeans.” We love these jeans because they’re effortless and stylish. Dress it up, dress it down, and do whatever you want with this look. You can wear everything from sneakers to heels, sandals, and even a pair of Doc Martens!

Athleisure

After six months in “lockdown”, we can’t completely rule out athleisure and loungewear. This trend is going nowhere fast, so we recommend embracing it if you haven’t already. Fact: women will never stop wearing athleisure-wear because it’s comfortable, adaptable, stylish, and easy to switch up. As you know, we are HUGE fans of the brand, SAVVI. We have canceled our Fabletics memberships and stopped shopping at Lululemon because these clothes provide the same quality, better styles, and are HALF the price. As you can see, we still LIVE in this brand and will continue to do so until the end of time. You’re welcome!

The Puff Sleeve

We like to consider this the perfect “date night” look because of the way you can dress it up or down. No matter where you go in South Florida, there is a place for “the puff sleeve,” and it’s all about how you style it. There are many interpretations of this style but one of our favorites has to be the see-through, mesh look that is associated with this trend.
